My Musical Time Machine: A Journey of the Soul Across Borders
Hello, everyone! Recently, when exploring my phone's playlist, I felt as if I had entered a musical time machine. Each song appears to be a small doorway that transports me across different eras and settings, evoking varied feelings and memories. Now, let me share something with you:
Speaking about my playlist, it's a real mixed bag. New songs blend with old ones, and music from China and elsewhere coexist. It's interesting how these songs from many genres can coexist in my playlist.
Kenshi Yonezu's song "Lemon" has recently become a favorite of mine. As soon as this music starts, I am immersed in a mild sadness. That night, as I sat alone on the balcony, listening to this music and seeing the distant city lights, I felt a little affected. Music is very beautiful; it always touches the most tender portions of our emotions.
Of course, when it comes to affecting hearts, I have to include Koji Tamaki's "Continuation of the Dream". This song has been with me over many nights. Every time I hear it, I remember my own hopes, past aspirations, and current determination. Life includes obstacles, but this song always gives me the strength to keep moving forward.
Oh, right! Speaking of offering power, Bob Marley's "No Woman, No Cry" is one of my favorites. Listening to this song should take place while camping on the beach with friends, sitting around a bonfire, playing guitar, and singing. The sound of waves, the guitar, our slightly hoarse voices, and a sky full of stars... At that moment, I feel that the entire world is stunning. Bob Marley stood for peace and goodness. Isn't that what everyone hopes for?
However, if we are talking about the song that brings back the greatest memories, it could be "La Paloma". When I first heard this song, I was attracted by its wonderful tune. It reminds me of my grandfather's old record player and those quiet afternoons as a child. Sometimes I believe that music is a form of magic that helps us to transcend time and place, remembering those great moments that have past.
Of course, my playlist does include some uplifting songs. For example, "Macarena" - as soon as it starts playing, I can't help but dance. I remember the last time I was on TikTok, everyone was dancing the Macarena like crazy, which was funny. Music has the ability to instantaneously let people forget about their problems and freely express themselves.
Speaking of self-expression, I've just developed an obsession with a new toy: the CW | WD-03 Meytang Bluetooth speaker. The bass on this speaker is incredible, and listening to "Tennessee Whiskey" is sheer delight. Sometimes in the evening, I'll have a small drink, switch on this speaker, and feel my entire body relax. Haha, I suppose this is what they mean by "with a good friend, a thousand cups are too few; when words don't flow, even half a sentence is too much".
However, if we're talking about my greatest fave, it's Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody". Every time I hear this song, I feel like I'm witnessing a mini-musical. It's a microcosm of life, moving from sorrowful to passionate to finally peaceful. I occasionally sing and dance in front of the speaker, pretending to be Freddie Mercury. Don't laugh; I bet you've done it too!
Music is just beautiful. It can make us cry, laugh, reflect, and look forward to the future. Each song is a small slice of life, and when combined, they become our life story.
Okay, there concludes my musical musings. Now I really want to grab the microphone and sing "Deep Night Harbor" into my Meytang speaker. How about you? What beloved tunes do you have on your playlist? What comes to mind when you hear these words? Let's talk about it; perhaps we can even share playlists!
